Facts   Around the world 42 million people are living with AIDS, 39 of them in developing countries
    AIDS is the main cause of death in Sub-Saharan Africa
    14 million children were orphaned in developing countries because they lost their parents to AIDS. The number of "AIDS orphans" is expected to nearly double by 2010.
    The most-affected African countries could lose up to a quarter of their labour force to AIDS by 2020
